WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Total Rewards Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development, administration, and analysis of the company’s Total Rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and recognition. This position provides data-driven insights to help design competitive and cost-effective programs that align with the company’s goals and drive employee satisfaction. The Total Rewards Analyst will also assist with the maintenance of internal equity, market competitiveness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for the development and management of Power BI dashboards and reports to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Total Rewards data analysis. This role will include reporting across all areas of Total Rewards to provide a comprehensive view of program effectiveness and trends.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

 

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret compensation, benefits, and recognition data to support decision-making.
  • Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and reports for Total Rewards programs, providing real-time, visual insights for leadership and HR teams.
  • Prepare regular reports on total rewards metrics, including cost analysis, trends, and employee participation.

 

Compensation and Benefits Program Support:

 

  • Assist in the development and administration of compensation programs (base pay, incentives, bonus plans) and benefits offerings.
  • Support annual salary reviews, market benchmarking, and the maintenance of salary structures to ensure competitiveness.

 

Program Evaluation and Optimization:

 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs by conducting surveys, collecting feedback, and providing insights on areas of improvement.
  • Assist in identifying new opportunities to enhance the company's total rewards offerings and recommend cost-effective changes.

 

Recognition Program Management:

 

  • Manage and act as the primary point of contact for the company’s employee recognition program, ensuring its alignment with company culture and goals.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the recognition program, ensuring timely recognition and rewards, and tracking program metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote the recognition program and ensure employee awareness and engagement.
  • Develop and present regular reports on recognition program participation, success metrics, and areas for improvement to senior leadership.

 

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

 

  • Ensure that all Total Rewards programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist in audits and reporting related to compensation and benefits programs to ensure adherence to legal standards and best practices.

 

Communication and Employee Support:

 

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding total rewards-related questions and issues.
  • Help create and distribute communication materials to employees about total rewards and recognition programs, ensuring clarity and transparency.

 

 

Project Support and Process Improvement:

 

  • Participate in the development and implementation of new total rewards initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support ongoing process improvements to make compensation and benefits administration more efficient.

 

Lead the MBO/BSC Process:

 

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end MBO/BSC process, ensuring clear alignment with organizational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define measurable objectives and key results for departments and teams.
  • Drive the regular review and assessment of performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of MBO/BSC into performance management systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to managers on effective goal setting, performance tracking, and evaluation using MBO/BSC methodology.
  • Analyze data from MBO/BSC reports to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing performance and achieving strategic business outcomes.
  • Ensure the continuous evolution of the MBO/BSC framework to reflect changes in business priorities and market conditions.                                      

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or HR analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar).
  • Experience in developing and managing Power BI dashboards or similar data visualization tools to report on compensation, benefits, and recognition data.
  • Knowledge of compensation, benefits programs, and recognition systems, as well as relevant federal and state laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

 

Certifications:

 

Certification in Compensation (e.g., CCP, GRP) is a plus.

 

Experience in international compensation is an asset.

 

CHRP/CHRL is an asset.

 

Languages:

 

Spanish, Portuguese or French is a plus.

 

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to inclement weather conditions. The noise level in the office work environment is low with occasional higher levels in non-office areas including need for personal protective equipment as required. Periodic travel required including ability to obtain passport for periodic corporate Toronto office visits as necessary.

Salary Range $72,000 -  $90,000
