Summary/Job Scope:
Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements. Be an auditor leader in charge to apply Global Internal Auditor Methodology, considering IIA – Institute of Internal Auditor concepts, identifying risks, design, and testing control effectiveness.
Communicates identified issues with Internal Audit Manager to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner (audit recommendations / action plans).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end.
- Evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Effectively document audit working papers, databases, and support documentation into the TeamMate System.
- Conduct risk assessments and controls of business processes/activities.
- Design and perform internal audit tests, using analytics tools/concepts, to identify situations that may impact the business, providing recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
- Responsible for performing reviews in accordance with Internal Audit professional standards and operating rules.
- Conduct interviews with representatives of audited areas and process owners.
- Perform regular meetings with GRC (Internal Control, Compliance, Risk Management) to optimize the synergy between governance areas.
- Support daily activities of auditors assigned to assist the project.
- Discuss and validate the observations/findings with upper management and representatives of the audited areas.
- Elaborate the audit report (power point) with the main findings, ratings of the issues, and audit recommendations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the action plans implemented by the business owners.
- Provide a proper support and training for the other auditors. (Internal and third parties)
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in the Forensics Investigations. (Part time)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, IT or other related field
- English and a second language is a plus
- Certifications in Internal Audit (CIA), Fraud Examination (CFE), and Information System Audit (CISA, CISM) is a plus
- Ability to observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately.
- Solid listening skills and ability to identify gaps in logic / Good communication skills along with good negotiation skills.
- Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.
- Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, finance, technology, operations, or investigations.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations.
- Ability to flourish in a complex environment and willing to adapt to change even if alone in international environments.
- Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
- Traveling availability.

Salary Range: $ $87,000 - $97,000 CAD
