Summary/Job Scope:

 

This role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in the field of privacy, information governance and/or records management, and law, offering an opportunity to contribute to the organization while learning industry best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Information Governance, Privacy and Records Manager and Legal Department
  • Assist with clean-up days (document destruction) at various locations
  •  Assist in implementing record retention schedules on historic series of physical and electronic records.
  • Support the development of processes to manage electronic records.
  • Assist with assigned projects related to the company’s electronic legal matter management system
  • Help in the continuous improvement of recordkeeping practices across the organization.
  • Provide administrative support including organizing and filing of records.
  • Participate in the management and disposal of both physical and electronic records.
  • Learn about the legislative and business requirements related to records management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education
  • Time management skills to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and document results effectively.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint and Teams

Salary Range: $19.10/hr
