HR Data Specialist

Job Purpose 

Reporting to the HR Head of HR Operations and Optimization, the HR Data Specialist is the subject matter expert of our HR data in SAP.  Responsible to maintain and ensure all SAP data for employees are accurately entered in SAP.  This position contributes to the overall success of the HR Operations team ensuring that all data for HR is being properly managed in SAP and integrated to other systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Review requests from HR team verify documents received to ensure it’s accurate, enter/update employee in SAP on time and accurate.

Resolve any data entry-related issues, should they occur.

Responsible for first investigation of integration issue if occur from data entered in SAP.

Process organizational changes, position, job and employee data changes in HR systems.

Maintain data integrity by conducting audits, reviewing reports and analyzing data for accuracy and completeness, question inconsistencies in data.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity of employee records and position management changes through established internal control

Support the maintenance of system controls and security within HR systems

Regularly provide basic reports to HR team as required.

Support development of analytics ensuring we are leveraging proper data.

Answer HR team inquiries and reply to emails related to data update/documents required.

Support the end-user experience for data management through documentation and training.

Participate in HR master data projects as it come up and role and responsibilities aligned for the project.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Education

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or pursuing an education in a related field
  • 3-5 years experience (some experience in HR)
  • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in conflict/issue resolution
  • Proven data analysis experience with expertise in creating advanced reports and dashboards is desired
  • Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes.
  • Experience working within HRIS, processes and business analytics is desired
  • Experience with SAP system is desired
  • Strong computer application skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Experience working in PowerBI
