CBM Ready-Mix is seeking an Analyst – Technical Services, based in Toronto.

This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.

Annual salary range: $70,228.67 - $75,228.67- depending on experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops mix designs and creates project submissions through interpretation of the customer or engineer's requirements using historical data and established guidelines.
  • Visits Job Sites, attends pre-pour meeting, and calls on customers promoting value-added products, collects market and job information.
  • Liaises among customers, sales, operations to ensure that internal and external customers' needs are met.
  • Participates in industry associations.  Develops and conducts customer, engineer and employee seminars and presentations.
  • Advises upper management on product development issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers.
  • Leads the investigation of complaints directly and through others, identifies possible causes, conducts further testing, proposes resolution, and works with sales to resolve customer complaints.
  • Supports Mix Management Systems to provide hands-on support to add and modify mixes using mix management software, sends the mixes to the plant and validates that data transfer is complete.
  • Develops and implements standard Operations product quality procedures. 
  • Maintains Process Support Manual
  • Supports the Statistical Analysis Information System for the Technical Services Department to verify concrete quality and reduce potential liabilities while optimizing material costs.
  • Maintains a resource center of current specifications, procedures, and recent advances in concrete technology.
  • Identifies and develops promotional and collateral materials to support marketing programs.
  • Plans and formulates research and development proposals.
  • Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records.
  • Produce, understand and be a resource for explaining an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for a concrete mix.
  • Adjust the levers available at a R/M level to reduce up to 33 different environmental impacts of an individual concrete mix, based on project/owner/customer requirements.
  • Identify projects/owners/customers with challenging project specific requirements and educate on how to specify environmental limits whilst maintaining constructability.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An associate’s degree or equivalent from a three-year college or technical school (CET) and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
