Analyst I, MRO Inventory

Summary: To assist Maintenance/Operations department in identifying and correcting variances between fleet, plants maintenance inventory in SAP and physical inventory.
This position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the day-to-day work of the MRO (Maintenance Repairs and Operations) Inventory and, also maintaining and using various information technology tools and reports to ensure the timely and accurate entry of data is done into SAP (goods receipt, consumption, transfers.).
Special development projects to drive performance improvement in the department may also be coordinated by this position. Analyzes, interprets, and troubleshoots incoming data from the division assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using SAP, pull daily requisitions and consumption data, rerun MRP for assigned VCNA R-M plants.
- Reviews downloaded open requisitions and consumption data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as necessary in conjunction with maintenance or work orders
- Reconciles entries in different systems (SAP MRP, Ariba, EMPOWER Sigga) to ensure consistency.
- Develops ad hoc reports for assisting in locating discrepancies.
- Assists in developing and implementing procedures relating to inventory tracking within the operations group.
- Assists operations group in posting entries into inventory systems.
- Prepares and distributes quarterly/annually the count sheet to align SAP with physical counts. It includes work with maintenance in reconciling physical counts and resolving variances.
- Creates the adjustment file and physical inventory documents in SAP so that the Controller can post changes to stock.
- Works Closely with the Ariba Catalog team, as well as, procurement to ensure MRP is working correctly
- Interacts with a wide variety of personnel:
- o training staff on new procedures, providing performance feedback to mechanics when needed.
- o Receiving team and Shared Services A/P to ensure accurate and timely goods receipts for payment of invoices as necessary.
- o Purchasing and outside suppliers.

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree and two-four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SAP and intermediate Excel knowledge is a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and reports. Good writing skills on memos, e-mails and correspondence. Ability to speak and explain clearly and effectively with employees, management staff, vendors and customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets and graphical forms.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to problem solve on a senior level and liaise with both internal clients and external consultants.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access. Knowledge of or ability to learn about SAP.
