The Plant Operator (Night Shift) is responsible for a variety of daily tasks that support the efficient operation of the aggregate plant. The Plant Operator is a generalist who is responsible for a range of duties including:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Running and monitoring (including boiler tests) the boiler system in cold months,
- Forming and stripping of returned concrete blocks,
- Yard housekeeping / snow removal
- Receiving and inspection of aggregates,
- A Plant Inspections,
- In yard concrete testing,
- Daily fuel dip/measurement,
- Minor plant maintenance, grease and lube equipment as required
- Maintaining the washout pit and drying bay
- Operating the loader
- Cleaning and shoveling under belts
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Ontario's Driver Licence
- Must be comfortable with working nights
- OSSGD or equivalent
- Passing Grade on Mechanical Aptitude Test, Math Skills Test and Literacy Test;
