SUMMARY/JOB SCOPE:
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and 
completion of projects within area of assigned responsibility to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects 
are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties 
personally or through subordinate supervisors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively defines the project scope and strategy in conjunction with end users.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for 
accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases 
of project.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and assigns project tasks. Confers with 
project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs 
and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within 
prescribed budget. 
• Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for assigned projects. Manages contractors, 
consultants and vendor resources. Obtains cost estimates. Coordinates preparation and delivery of 
project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
• Prepares project reports for management. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice 
and to resolve problems. 
• Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental 
agencies.
• Responsible to the write up and review of all CER documents for approval

• Manages all SAP functions including, PR`s, PO`s, Service Receipts and all AP issues 
• Responsible for the overall review and release of the project to the plant including but not limited to 
the areas of safety, environmental, quality, and functionality. 
• Technical and supervisory assistance in plant maintenance department emergencies, shutdown 
planning and maintenance strategies.
AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING: Summarize what authority exists for independent decisions. 
Consider closeness of supervision received, control by policy or procedure, direction by others and 
complexity or difficulty.
This position will be self-motivated and working on their own. Will need to confer with department 
managers on a regular basis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include Org chart)
This position has no direct reports at this time, although there may be a requirement in the future to directly 
supervise other employees of the company.

Education/Experience Requirements:
• College degree.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in cement industries.
• Experience on Processes in cement industries. Experience in Expansion Projects and Sustaining in 
Cement Industries
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical 
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure 
manuals. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex 
topics to employee groups, management at all levels of the company. 
 
Computer Skills: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software (MS 
Windows, Word, Excel, MS Project).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Travel Requirement:
Valid Driver’s license and valid passport is a must. Must be willing to travel throughout US and Canada.
Physical Demands:
This position involves moderate level of physical demands - intermediate position of moderate physical 
activity (up to 50% of the workday), e.g. sitting in one place, sustained keyboarding, working in awkward 
physical position or spaces.

  • Technical and supervisory experience to the plant departments in terms of engineering and solutions

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in cement industries.

  • Knowledge of processes in cement industry.

  • Experience with expansion projects and sustaining in the cement industries.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Suite).

 

Salary Range: $ 110,000 to $ 125,000 CAD
