As a member of the CBM Cambridge Plant team, the Heavy Equipment Operator will take part in the operation of various heavy equipment and overall plant maintenance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment
  • Operate skid steers, crushers etc. in a safe manner
  • Communicate any concerns to supervisor or foreman
  • Participate in the overall maintenance, upkeep, and safety of the yard

Qualifications:

  • Safety conscious and knowledgeable about health and safety practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Previous completion of the applicable MCTU training is an asset
  • Previous experience in similar role is an asset
  • Ability to work 12 hour overnight shifts (6pm-6am)
  • Access to reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit)
