As a member of the CBM Cambridge Plant team, the Heavy Equipment Operator will take part in the operation of various heavy equipment and overall plant maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operational inspections of equipment
- Operate skid steers, crushers etc. in a safe manner
- Communicate any concerns to supervisor or foreman
- Participate in the overall maintenance, upkeep, and safety of the yard
Qualifications:
- Safety conscious and knowledgeable about health and safety practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Previous completion of the applicable MCTU training is an asset
- Previous experience in similar role is an asset
- Ability to work 12 hour overnight shifts (6pm-6am)
- Access to reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit)
