SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

An Order Taker has the ability to apply company policies and procedures in order to correctly and diplomatically guide customer to correctly place an order of concrete.

RESPONSIBILITIES:           

• Takes order from customer and enters correct information into Command System.
• Sells the company and sells the value added products.
• Keeps schedule graph current.
• Obtains proper directions to job and any special circumstances.
• Responsible for on-time delivery and avoids over-booking.
• Interacts closely with customer service/sales/operations teams.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Advanced computer skills with the ability multi-task (ie. Take a phone order while entering information into the system)
• Excellent typing skills
• Ability to read and write
• Customer service experience helpful
• Ability to read a map and coordinate directions to job sites
• Good listening skills
• Good phone skills

QUALIFICATIONS:                          

• Knowledge of materials of concrete helpful

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

• Knowledge of local geography in southeast Michigan
• Knowledge of Command/Track-It
• Ability to work extended weekday hours and weekends

EDUCATION

REQUIRED:                          

• High school diploma or equivalency

PHYSICAL

REQUIREMENTS:                

• Lifting up to 5 pounds
• Sitting for an extended period of time

SALARY:

$23/hr
