Plant Maintenance Technician 1

RESPONSIBILITIES:            

• • • • Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems in the plant.
      • Lubrication of all plant equipment.
      • Assisting in emergency repair situations of plant.
      • Skilled preventive maintenance diagnosis.
      • Jackhammering
      • Maintenance and cleaning of dust collector.
      • Complete daily paperwork.
      • Fabrication both steel and wood
      • Maintain good housekeeping at shop
      • Threading pipe and plumbing
      • Conveyor belt repairs

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• • • • • High mechanical aptitude
        • General knowledge of Redi-mix plant
        • Ability to operate Forklift-Company will train
        • Ability to operate Manlift-Company will train
        • Ability to read and write
        • Ability to fabricate items based on print
        • Ability to cut and weld
        • Ability to rig equipment for lifting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:                     

• • • • • • Lifting 50-100 pounds
          • Sitting, standing, walking, climbing and crawling
          • for extended periods of time
          • Ability to work outside
• Walking up 320’ conveyor with 45 degree angle
• Wearing respirator after undergoing proper fitment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• • • • • • Must maintain forklift certificate
          • Must maintain manlift certificate
          • Working hours vary from before 5am to after 5pm based on need.
