Summary/Job Scope
Purpose of Position: Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform 5 senses inspections on machines or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problem and repair machine.
- Dismantle defective machinery and equipment, install new or repaired parts as required.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repair and maintain physical structures. Perform rigging and lifting of heavy loads.
- Fabricate from prints or sketches in accurate and timely manner.
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Inspect parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring devices.
- Participate in good housekeeping practices within the plant.
- Promote environmental and safety awareness in alignment with safety and environmental goals.
- Conduct routine planned work observations.
Qualifications and Education:
- Heavy industrial experience is required.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment experience is required.
- Previous experience with dismantling and repairing machinery is required.
- Journeyman Millwright license/card is required.
