Aggregate Plant Supervisor - East Region

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Leading a team of Site Supervisors and/or Hourly employees directs production Operations for specific CBM Aggregate plants to ensure efficient use of resources, in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Comply with Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Natural Resources legislation and regulations. Implement training, administration and compliance with applicable Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures,
  • Develop and supervise plans for efficient use of raw materials, machines and employees. Develop work process and, utilizing SAP systems to ensure plants meet or exceed company goals, objectives and financial performance targets. Review production costs, product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations of specific plants. Supervise production and storage of aggregate products in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Regional Manager.
  • Review mining sequences and assist in developing mine planning, recommends budget requests and capital requirements to management, completes capital expenditure approval requests, monitor large projects through completion. Approves expenditures within defined parameters.
  • Source and secure quotes for maintenance materials for the processing plants and mobile equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot plant processes to identify changes and improvements. Ability to an analyze statistical operational data (e.g., Hobolink, KPIs, equipment manufacturer reports) and develop and execute appropriate actions
  • Able to troubleshoot plant processes and manage raw feed to identify and direct changes and improvements.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • 3 years supervisory and/or managerial experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics and electricity and knowledge of aggregate composition. Ability to interpret and apply technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent Applied Mathematical Skills to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Excellent Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems with numerous variables and limited standardization.
  • Knowledge (technical/practical/managerial)
  • Knowledge/Experience of aggregate processing practices, and equipment and aggregate specifications for the construction industry, (general construction, road building, concrete and hot mix asphalt technology).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Applied MS Office and ability to utilize SAP.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license as daily travel to sites is required.
