Summary/Job Scope:
The Project Manager (CapEx) leads the planning, execution, and delivery of capital expenditure projects that enhance the operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our Cement Plant. The Project Manager (CapEX) ensures that all infrastructure and equipment investments are strategically aligned with business goals, completed within budget and schedule, and meet regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead feasibility studies, scope development, and budgeting for Plant CapEX projects; defining the scope and strategy in conjunction with involved parties.
- Develop and manage detailed project proposals, schedules, milestones, funding limitations and deliverables.
- Oversee engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Track expenditures, approve invoices, and maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and assigns project tasks; conferring with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, legal, procurement) and external contractors.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all project stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with environment, government and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols for both plant and construction activities.
- Conduct technical reviews and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure equipment and construction meet performance and reliability standards.
- Ensures the safety of themselves and all colleagues through enforcing safe work practices and providing motivation and effective communication.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or other related fields.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience managing capital projects in industrial or manufacturing settings (cement or heavy industry preferred).
- Proven track record in budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, permitting processes, and construction safety.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and make informed decisions.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
