CBM Ready-Mix is seeking a Sales Representative, based in Burlington.
This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.
Annual salary range: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 – depending on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel regarding customer requirements, changes to existing orders and status of potential orders.
- Communicate with operations to maintain focus on reserve management to balance aggregate production with sales.
- Budget volume of saled and pricing on individual products for the year and monitors these metrics to aid in developing contingency plans to ensure targets are achieved.
- Monitor daily inventory of primary products to ensure accurate reporting.
- Develop new ideas and plans to utilize by-products.
- Provide assistance to the Credit department, where required to develop plans on how to collect on certain customer accounts.
- Bid tendered work, where required and where it matches the company strategy and brings value to the company.
- Negotiate trucking rates for independent truckers.
- Arrange scheduling of independent truckers and ensure they are always available and their behaivour meets CBM standards.
- Act as a first contact or follow up for customers with problems and complaints.
- Attend Aggregate sales meetings to improve inter-divisional collaboration, communication and the sharing of information and ideas.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least 5 years of previous experience in ready-mix sales, with a focus on customer relationship management.
- Postsecondary education in related fields, either college or university
- Valid Ontario G Class drivers license, with access to a personal vehicle
- Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and solve problems
- Adept with basic computer functions including Microsoft Office products
