CBM has more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants. The plants are in areas from Hull, Quebec (serving the National Capital region) in the east, 475 miles to Windsor in the west with emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province.

We are looking for a permanent full time Plant Mechanic (Millwright) for the West region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and preventive maintenance for several ready-mix concrete plants that includes pumps, water systems, conveying systems, piping, boiler operation, air compressor systems and controls, in addition to other power driven rotating equipment.
  • Work on this equipment includes both indoor and outdoor maintenance activities year round.
  • Travel across territory to various locations in a company truck.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Safety oriented team player
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Initiative and ability to learn through practical "hands on" working experience and theoretical instruction.
  • Minimum class G valid Ontario Driver's license, with satisfactory 3 year drivers abstract
  • Own, or willing to secure, a basic set of hand tools
  • Previous plant maintenance or millwright experience is a strong asset
