Summary/Job Scope:

Plan, manage and provide leadership to assigned plants and other operations, including dispatch within a given region of the organization; guiding the safe and efficient use of labor and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers company policies and provides direction for assigned plants.
  • Maintains effective relationships, with all employees, customers, and internal staff.
  • Manages equipment utilization targets prior to the scheduled day and ensures communication with assigned plant and customers to ensure targets can be attained.
  • Ensures dispatch computer work is entered in the Command System in a real time environment.
  • Advises Operations on labor issues including, safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training and the like.  Works with Management to ensure employees are adhering to company policy and administering practices in a fair and equitable manner.  
  • Demonstrates effective delegation and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive, in-depth management experience in ready-mix industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential.
  • Excellent organization skills with capabilities of establishing and maintaining proper priorities and handling of detailed activities.
  • Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects.  Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Develops realistic action plans.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high profile and fast paced environment
  • Ability to objectively coach employees through performance issues and make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and laws.  
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
  • Ability to perform computer function in a real time environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Salary Range: $107,000-$120,000
