Summary/Job Scope:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our Maintenance Team on a temporary contract for a period of 6-12 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various software applications, including SAP PM, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project. This role involves supporting technical teams, managing updates and SAP PM, documentation, and ensuring smooth job execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update Maintenance Plans in SAP PM which includes but not limited to, creating a task list, functional location/equipment, define frequency, horizon, tolerance and other attributes of a PM.
- Create and update Bill of material in SAP PM.
- Create and update general task lists for PM and corrective work.
- Create and update documents in MS word, excel, power point, MS project, VISIO etc.
- Create/update attributes in SAP PM and MM as per the directions given by the project manager.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Manage and organize technical documents and ensure their accessibility.
- Conduct research to support technical projects and initiatives.
- Communicate with departments to understand and address their technical needs.
- Perform administrative tasks such as management of office supplies.
- Ensures the safety of themselves and all colleagues through enforcing safe work practices and providing motivation and effective communication.

Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, or other related field.
- Previous experience as a Technical Assistant, or similar role.
- Previous experience within a cement, construction or manufacturing industry an asset.
- Proficiency in SAP PM, and MM, Prometheus, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project,
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Note: This role is temporary, for a 6-12 month period; with possible review for extension; located Bowmanville, Ontario.

Hourly Rate: $25 per hour.
