WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Stockroom Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory, stockroom and distribution activities at the cement plant for materials, raw materials, equipment, machinery and services by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Organize, supervise, and direct the work routine of stockroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment. Manage hours, vacation, training and overtime.
- Assist the procurement function for all inventory management activities regarding ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, cycle counting, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yards, including third party and/or offsite warehouse management.
- Prepare, approve and issue purchase requisitions, within authorized limits, and in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
- Work in collaboration with the maintenance and procurement team, reevaluating the procurement / delivery processes with critical suppliers, seeking greater adherence between actual and planned consumption
- Supervise activities related to the control and planning of MRO materials to ensure adequate levels of inventory and internal customer service.
- Maintain the performance KPIs, in accordance with the pre-established goals, through the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the indicators, in order to take preventive or corrective actions
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes in procurement/MRO planning
- Contribute on initiatives for the continuous improvement of material planning processes, improvement of the levels of quality and productivity, through suggestions for improvement in processes, systems, working methods and other aspects related to the operation
- Liaise with accounts payable department to ensure accurate and timely goods receipts for payment of invoices, as necessary.
- Review defective or unacceptable goods or services with users, Buyers, vendors, and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
- Ensuring the integrity and usability of stored materials and equipment, maintaining optimal conditions for preservation.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Diploma or Degree from accredited University or Community College Inventory Management or Purchasing Certificate would be an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years in related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably in Cement, Construction or mining industry
- Coupa, Ariba, SAP, and ERP experience required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, crouch and/or kneel and climb with some height’s exposure of a moderate level. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to inclement weather conditions. The noise level in the office work environment is low with occasional higher levels in non-office areas including need for personal protective equipment as required. Periodic travel required including ability to obtain passport for periodic corporate Toronto office visits as necessary.

Salary Range $66,077.87 - $82,597.34
