WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Senior Production Coordinator in the Production Department will be responsible and accountable about CRO/ACRO, Utilities, Labors and contracted manpower in terms of H&S, site activities, technical improvement and decisions. Also responsible for equipment performance, output and condition. Directing maintenance activities and defining the priorities for related areas.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Oversee the work of the Shift Coordinator / contractors / ACRO and utilities, by reviewing the performance of each shift with regards to the effectiveness of use of resources, operational KPIs; ensure optimal communication and hand-over between shifts.

  • Implement and review the shift production routines of the area.

  • Provide necessary on the job training to his crew.

  • Direct maintenance crew related to the area define the maintenance priorities.

  • Manage area related consumables budget and work for possible cost savings (defined below)

  • Perform the required root cause analysis when targets are not met.

  • Co-ordinates department activities with other plant departments to minimize downtime, make efficient use of manpower and eliminate recurrent problems.

  • Oversee the development and training of new and existing employees.

  • Management of the materials required for the proper operation of the systems.

  • Perform routine checks of equipment and systems to maintain optimal efficiency.

  • Review all equipment stops and associated downtime identifying areas of improvement and implementation of corrective actions.

  • Create Purchase Requests for the contracted works required in the systems.

  • Report daily production achievements and set backs at daily meeting.

  • Liaise between environment, production, electrical, quality, process and maintenance departments regarding scheduling and prioritization of repairs and downtime required.

  • Establishes short and long term action plans to meet individual, departmental and plant goals. Assist with the collection of field measurements to ensure that equipment is profiled and process data is documented and analyzed.

  • Create and maintain new systems of control for process related machinery and procedures. Develop and institute process improvements with various input from the Process Engineer, Quality Manager, Environment Manager and Production Manager.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Advanced knowledge about clinker and cement production, process, and quality. Specific knowledge about raw materials, clinker and cement chemistry and quality control processes, environmental, safety and cost impacts on the operation (pyro-process knowledge, grinding optimization knowledge, grinding media design, or kiln and cooler operation etc.)

At least 5 years’ experience as one of the below titles in an integrated cement plant.

  • Cement mill coordinator/supervisor/engineer/chief

  • Raw mill coordinator/supervisor/engineer/chief

  • Kiln coordinator/supervisor/engineer/chief

And/or

  • Production manager
