Summary/Job Scope:
The Reliability Engineer will work towards driving plant reliability improvements through planning and execution of best maintenance practices within Maintenance Department. Responsible for and involved with all aspects of the maintenance activities and root cause analysis to determine action plans to improve reliability. Works to implement and coach/mentor attributes of the maintenance systems relating to reliability; condition based, predictive and maintenance inspections, their techniques, plans and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the plant's lubrication function in conjunction with the Predictive Supervisor to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity by implementing and sustaining effective lubrication management strategies
- Lead reliability initiatives to improve equipment uptime, extend asset life, and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Drives reliability improvements in the plant to achieve best in class KPI results.
- Liaises and coordinates all improvements with the predictive maintenance supervisor and inspection technicians to ensure all modules of the maintenance system are implemented in a standardized way.
- Assists existing plant maintenance and preventative maintenance systems; troubleshoots any equipment and/or machinery malfunctions to determine root cause(s) and develops corrective action plans to rectify the problems and improve the reliability.
- Assists in creation of weekly and monthly plant equipment condition status reports.
- Evaluates maintenance efficiency opportunities.
- Supervises and directs maintenance contractors working on the plant site as required.
- Conducts technical reviews of vendors and contractors to ensure that they can provide the equipment, machinery, and/or required services.
- Ensures the safety of themselves and all colleagues through enforcing safe work practices and providing motivation and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).
- 3–5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or asset management—preferably in heavy industrial sectors such as cement, mining, aggregates, steel, or manufacturing.
- Experience with cement plant equipment (kilns, mills, crushers, conveyors, etc.) an asset.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, RCM methodologies, and predictive maintenance tools.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, AutoDESK, SAP PM preferred.
- Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other condition monitoring techniques.
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to interpret trends and drive improvements.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.

Salary Range: $93,992.36 – $140,998.54
(offers will be based on qualifications, experience and education, which will determine where a candidate will fall in line with the above wage range)
