Summary/Job Scope:

The Millwright’s primary purpose is to ensure the reliability and safe operation of mechanical equipment within the cement plant by performing installation, maintenance, and repair activities. This role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining equipment efficiency in a heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks
• Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools
• Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints
• Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues
• Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to be a team player due to constant interactions with similar employees and stakeholders such as Engineers, Plant Managers, and Part Vendors, amongst others
• Operate the two-way radio to communicate with workers at different stages of the plant.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Holds an Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (ticketed and licensed).
• Prospective candidates will have a minimum of one-year working experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong technical and computer aptitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High proficiency in English is a must.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty conditions.

Working conditions relating to physical effort for this role has been rated Intermediate-High, within industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, dust, and noise with regular presence in the plant and workshop.

Hourly Rate: $47.63 + skilled trade premium
