Summary/Job Scope:

We are seeking a reliable, safety‑focused Shift Labourer to join our Production Department at our plant in Bowmanville, Ontario. This entry-level position plays an essential role in supporting daily plant operations, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

This position is Full-Time, Permanent, hourly employee working on the 12 Hour shift rotation, falling within our union classification.

Key Responsibilities:

Normal activities will include:

• General labour duties including clean up, shoveling, wheel barreling and jack hammering.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent related experience.
• Good communications skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Valid Drivers’ license and passport.
• Eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; be exposed to enclosed areas and heights; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $41.59/hour when on full rate.

Note:  This is a unionized position, scheduling in line with the collective agreement.
