Summary/Job Scope:

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the cement plant. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical components, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, working on wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues; diagnose and resolve electrical problems to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, work closely with maintenance and production teams to support plant operations.
  • Document work performed, maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
  • Valid electrician license in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics, excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.

Salary /Hourly Wage: $47.20 per hour
